Trust, there are many times we all want to slap the shit out of someone…. However, we are grown. It is unacceptable to engage in any form of violence in any professional setting.



Just because you understand why Chris got slapped doesn’t mean it was justified.

What Chris Rock did was a form of violence. Especially to a live audience in front of millions? It's on par with Chappelle's constant transphobic comments that embolden people to continue to disregard them as people. If anything, what he did in front of millions in a recorded environment WAS dropping professionalism to make a shitty comment. I think the need for us to stop worrying about a particular lens in professionalism has to stop because it's permitting bigotry to run rampant at higher speeds.
