It could certainly be part of a solution, for faster 'live' testing of actual integrations. But I was also imaging local inspection/validation tools. So instead of making localhost public, finding a validator online, and submitting - you get live validation feedback as you work?

This sounds interesting. Just making sure I understand, would this be like a lint tool of sorts that you'd run locally and point at URLs?
