and indieweb has always been hyper concentrated. its kind of unfortunate that it went the route it did, tbh. they couldve done something really interesting but instead its just... twitter plus inter-server distribution :\

is the comparison to twitter mainly b/c of the text-centric nature of it? if so, I think that's an artifact of startup costs (easier to share text than a cross-site interactive tool of sorts) but there is some rumbling of work moving in that direction
