(I don’t mean that sarcastically, either. I met him briefly years ago and he didn’t strike me as your regular Silicon Valley type. Would be good for him to have some first-hand understanding of this space.)

I mean this in good faith, but it seems more like he posts this and has other people come around and check the replies to see feasibility. Some heads in the IndieWeb reached out and got a template prototype to add IndieWeb support, but it's really on us; we can't rely on them (no matter the pestering).
