If I never met people at that protest in 2015 and never saw how things worked at Lyft, I'd probably be more comfortable with the amount of "casual" violence we permit in the private tech sector/industry. Not saying it's different for public sector, I don't know enough yet but I'm looking at America where slavery is legal if you're a prisoner with the US Constitution (ask for books/media) so whatever.
