And it has a legit answer, too - we need *massively less* prisons and it needs to be a last resort, not the first step we use to produce a minority slave labor force like it is today.



But pretending that we can wipe out the need *entirely* is just silly, as is avoiding the q.

Who have you been folllowing/reading re: prison abolition? I've been curious about this too myself and haven't yet dug deeply into this axis (b/c like you said, we HAVE to address it (very soon, IMHO)
