My state of being falls between https://cydharrell.com/book/ and https://www.versobooks.com/books/3713-mutual-aid. Try reading these two (short-ish) books, comparing how they view the world, and then you'll understand my current (literal) working (both career and not) position.

Wrap that with the constant barrage of gender and racial and violence that both speak to (but acknowledge in different ways) and then you'll see about 30% of what I see often now.

For example, https://www.axios.com/local/tampa-bay/2023/02/24/gop-goes-after-dei-degrees is approached very differently by these two pieces of work. And I have to align with one more than the other because otherwise it'd mean erasure.

In an ideal situation, this could have been put up to a vote by the public (and given the fact that FLORIDA IS IN THE SOUTH) and probably would have been shot down, provided the public has been given enough information. But representative democracy manifests itself as a bunch of oligarchies across this country - and people are BEGGED to participate in something that acts against them every single time.

Why? Truly, why, when this form of progress always requires someone to be harmed?
